The Naib Amir South-Western region of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alhaji Abdul Azeez Alatoye led a 13-man delegation to the 87th Annual Jalsa Salana of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana which was held at Bagh-e-Ahmad Pomadze, Winneba Central Region.
Prominent among the delegation aside the Naib Amir who represented the Amir, AMJN are: the Sadr Ansarullah, Alhaji Abdul Waheed Adeoye; Jalsa Officer, Alhaji Mufadhil Bankole; National Tarbiyya Secretary (Moral Training), Alhaji M.M. Shittu; National Ziyyafat (Hospitality) Secretary, Brother AbdurRahman Adetunji: Maulvi Okubena Nurudeen and Missionary Dikko Muhyideen.
Sadr Ansarullah delivered the goodwill message from Nigeria during the concluding session. He appreciated the good hospitality accorded to the delegation.
Speaking on the theme: “Building a violence-free society: The role of the citizen,” the Amir Ghana, Alhaji Maulvi Noor Mohammed Bin Salih advised members to eschew all acts of violence and live among one another in peace and harmony.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and a special guest at the event commended the worldwide Ahmadiyya Community for championing the preaching of the peaceful message of Islam.
Several other top government officials and about 83 foreign guests were in attendance. A total number of 38,079 attendees graced the three-day convention.
