Okene Jamaat Holds Maiden Aminul Quran Graduation

It was a memorable Saturday, April 20, 2019, as the Quranic School of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Okene, Kogi Circuit graduated the first batch of students who have successfully completed the learning of the basic principles of the recitation of the Holy Quran.

The maiden Aminul Quran celebration which had seven graduands in total was held in grand style within the premises of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Mosque located off Okene-Lokoja road, “F” Area, Adavi Local Government Area.

The historic event, hosted by the resident Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Okene and tutor of the Quranic School, Shaikh Abdur-Raheem Bello, was graced by many eminent personalities among whom were the Chief Imam of the Eika Central Mosque and Shaikh Abdul-Qadir Ibrahim, the Circuit Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Kogi East.

Highlights of the event include a scholarly lecture on the importance of the Holy Quran, delivered by Missionary Abdul-Qadir Ibrahim Sahib. Others were the recitation of the Holy Quran and educational presentations on the Ahadith (Traditions) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), chanting of Qaseedah (Eulogy of the Holy Prophet) and Salaat (Prayer) practice demonstration, etc. The climax of the event was the beautiful recitation of the Quran by each of the graduands which was coordinated by an invited lecturer from the Federal College of Education, Okene.

The seven graduands who received their certificate include three boys and four girls, namely, Abdul Wahab Mordotullah, Abdurraheem Marahrahman, Abdul Kareem Salamat, Abdul Kareem Habiba, Zakullah Abdu Saleem, Abdurraheem Abdur Rofeeq and Ochepa Abdul Muqi.
