The respected Amir sahib of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alhaji Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez sahib, graciously granted interviews to TVC and MTA International. He also had the honour of meeting with the esteemed Amir and Missionary-in-Charge of Uganda, Al-Hajji Maulana Ali Kaire sahib, Amir sahib Sierra Leone; Mr. Musa Mewa sahib as well as the distinguished President of the Pan-African Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (PAAMA), Mr. Tommy Kallon sahib. In a similar vein, the respected Amir and Missionary-in-Charge of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana, Maulana Mohammed Bin Salih sahib, also granted an interview to MTA International, further contributing to the global outreach and message of peace championed by the Jama’at.

They were warmly received by the Officers from the Tabshir Office, Nigerian Ahmadi Family members and Secretary Umur Kharijiyah Mitcham Jamaat. The Amir sahib appreciates the warm reception.
The Respected Amir Sahib of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria is departing for the United Kingdom to participate in the Jalsa Salana and formally present the license of the newly approved Minaret University to His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba). Accompanying the Amir Sahib as the Chancellor of Minaret University are distinguished personalities including the Pro Chancellor; Alhaji (Dr) Hassan A. Sumonu, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullah Abdur Rahman; and the Regend and Eesa of Ikirunland, Chief Adetoyese Kareem Lawal. With the taking off team is the Acting Amir; Dr AbdulLateef Busari, our Former Amirs; Alhaj (Engr) Hussein Sunmonu and Professor Mashhud Adenrele Fashola. Also with the team is our Former Naib Amir; Alhaj (Engr) Ahmed Alhassan, the Corporate Affairs Director; Alhaj Lakunle Bello and the General Secretary; Alhaj AbdulJabbar Ayelaagbe. The Amir (National Head) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alh. Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez sahib, has called on Nigerians to fervently pray for the nation and place their trust in Allah the Almighty during a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Yakubu II, Ejeh of Ankpa; Chairman Ankpa Traditional Council/vice Chairman Igala Area Traditional Council, Coordinator North Central Traditional Rulers. The visit took place at the royal father’s residence in Abuja, where the Amir led a delegation comprising key members of the Jama’at. During the visit, the Amir extended a formal invitation to His Royal Highness to attend the 70th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, scheduled to hold in Ilaro, Ogun State. He expressed appreciation for the royal father’s steadfastness and commitment to upholding the true principles of Islam as espoused by the Jama’at. In his remarks, Barr. Alatoye emphasized the importance of gratitude to Allah, unity, peace, and collective prayers for the progress of the nation. He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and rely on Allah’s guidance during challenging times. In response, His Royal Highness graciously accepted the invitation to the Jalsa Salana and extended a reciprocal invitation to the Amir to visit the Ankpa Kingdom. The Amir expressly and happily accepted the invitation, which he believe will further strengthen the ties between the Jama’at and the traditional institution. His Royal Highness expressed his wishes that Nigerians pray for leaders to succeed rather than cursing the leaders which has ripple effects on all. The Amir’s delegation included: Members of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, Abuja Jama’at The visit highlighted the importance of mutual respect, collaboration, and spiritual focus in addressing societal challenges. The Amir’s message of hope and reliance on Allah resonated deeply with all in attendance.
Ahmadiyya Holds 70th Jalsa Salana In Ogun TheAhmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria is set to hold its 70th edition of its Jalsa Salana slated for Wednesday 4th of December 2024. The event is coming ahead of its Platinum Celebration of Annual Conference at Ilaro-Owode Road, Ilaro, Ogun State between Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd December, 2024. Jalsa Salana is the annual convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community initiated by the founder of the community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. According to the Amir (National Head), Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alhaji Alatoye Folorunsho Azeez, the theme of the 70th Jalsa Salana is: “And We Have Sent Thee (Muhammad) Not But As a Mercy For All People” (Q21.108). He said: “This is a Qur’anic declaration which is very instructive, as the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) is humanity’s noble specimen and perfect model in beauty and beneficence and in leadership for personal and national reformation and development. “In all the various facets of his life and character, he stands unrivalled and an excellent exemplar for men to emulate and follow. “In this light, for both the leadership and followership strata in this country, it is apt for us to assess and explore the blessed life of the Holy Prophet (saw), who personified mercy in all aspects of life and about whom God declared in the Qur’an that: “There has indeed come to you a Messenger from among yourselves; grievous to him is that you fall into trouble; he is ardently desirous of your welfare; and to the believers he is particularly compassionate and Merciful,” (Qur’an, Al- Taubah, Chapter 9 verse 128),” he stated The main highlights of the Islamic gathering are: Recitation of the Holy Quran, Praises of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Message from the World Leader of the Ahmadiyya Community, Goodwill Messages from the Nigerian leaders, Lectures, Special Prayers/ Tahajjud for all. The group has invited the Nigerian President and Commander- In Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, some Governors from the Northern and Southern parts of the federation, political and traditional leaders, Islamic Scholars as special guests. Ahead of this year’s gathering, the Amir embarked on courtesy visits to prominent Islamic scholars and traditional rulers across the country inviting them to come and share in the grace of ALLAH. He visited Sheikh Muideen Ajani Bello, Sheikh Abbas Zakariyyah in Ibadan and the Ejeh of Anka kingdom in Abuja, His Royal Highness Dr Abubakar Ahmad Sodiq Yakubu. The first Jalsa Salana in Nigeria was held in 1949, at Ahmadiyya first central mosque at 21/23 Ojo Giwa street Lagos Island.
For more than one hundred years the Ahmadiyya Muslim community has been leading a peaceful revival of Islam. From the time it was founded in India in 1889 it has enjoyed an unrivalled record for peace and for its efforts to build cohesive societies.
