The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Calls for A Peaceful World Through Love

The Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Barrister Alatoye Azeez Folorunso, has called for a peaceful world through the sharing of love and upholding the dignity of mankind.

He stated this in an Eid -ul -Fitr message, marking this year’s Ramadan Fast. The message was entitled “SEEK THE LOVE OF ALLAH TO ACHIEVE THE PURPOSE OF YOUR CREATION.”

Barrister Alatoye noted that the just-concluded Ramadan was a trying period not only for the Muslim ummah but also for the whole of mankind. “The effects of the upheavals in the Middle East, occasioned by the joint attack by Israel and the US on Iran, were felt all over the world as it brought the world to the precipice of a World War”.

He regretted that the precarious situation the world found itself in recent times could not have arisen if mankind had lived its live-in accordance with the commandment of its creator, this being the only way to express our love to Allah and to earn His love. “It is ironic that we use man-made products for purposes for which they were manufactured but fail to live according to the purpose for which we were created.

Quoting from the Islamic scripture – the Holy Quran (Chapters 3, verse 32 and   51 v 57), the Almighty Allah declares: “Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: then will Allah love you and forgive you your faults. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.’ “And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me

The leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria said these verses of the Holy Quran clearly give the reason why the human race was created. A product used wrongly will not only fail to work, but it will also create additional problems. This is why the world has not been at peace.

He made a good reference to the lives of the holy Prophet Muhammad and the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), who stated that the love for Allah is expressed through worship and the failure of man to serve the one and only true God, and to give fellow humans their dues are the real reasons behind our challenges. “Rather than serve God and respect the rights of others, the world has chosen to serve itself and to usurp the rights of others. This is the root cause of instability across the world . He noted.

Alatoye further explained that as recently pointed out in a Friday sermon by the Supreme Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper), some have not only failed to serve Allah, but they have chosen to serve certain individuals, countries or institutions, in the erroneous belief that these will bring them peace, prosperity and safety. Unfortunately, the opposite has been the case.

The Islamic leader said Ramadan was a reminder to return to the purpose of our creation and thus seek the love of Allah. “It was a time when more attention was paid to the worship of Allah and to accommodate the needs of our fellow human beings. It was a time when most Muslims shunned mundane things, avoided trouble, and lived humbled lives. It was a time when Muslims shared what they had with others for the love of Allah”.

He urged Muslims to remember that what we did to earn Allah’s love during the month should not stop, but should be continued until we are privileged to witness another Ramadan.
