Amir AMJN Visits Aragbiji of Iragbiji as Monarch Calls for Quality, Discipline, and Strategic Growth at Minaret University

His Royal Highness, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, has urged the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria to uphold high standards of quality and discipline in the development of Minaret University, Ikirun. He made the remarks while receiving the leadership of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria led by the Amir, Alhaj Alatoye Folorunso AbdulAzeez in his palace at Iragbiji, Osun State. The monarch offered strong words of support and counsel for the fast-growing Minaret University, Ikirun. He recalled the long-standing contribution of Ahmadiyya to the development of education in Nigeria. The development, he said, was a great boost to the efforts of regional and national government on educational development in the country. The monarch emphasized the importance of strategic communication in building a credible institution. He particularly emphasized the need to carry out aggressive publicity in both conventional and unconventional media for Minaret University to improve students’ enrolment. He encouraged the University to deploy strong social media coverage to boost its image. According to him, everywhere the public turn going forward, the news should be about the Minaret University. Oba Olabomi also advised the University Management not to compromise on quality in its teaching and other services of the institution. The Kabiyesi called their attention to the volatility and high labour mobility in university administration. He encouraged the Management to utilise the services of retired lecturers who possess vast experience in lecturing, and are more stable noting that younger lecturers often seek greener pastures. He charged the Management of Minaret University to ensure they instil discipline in students stressing that knowledge without discipline is a waste. According to him, “Discipline is not just about faith and must remain a non-negotiable value. Universities must uphold standards firmly so that deviant behaviour does not evolve into gangs or dangerous groups,” he cautioned. On infrastructural development, Kabiyesi charged the leadership of the jama’at to set clear timelines for the development of its permanent site. He urged the institution to maximize its land resources with a robust master plan, including building multi-storey structures capable of delivering both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Against the backdrop of what he described as international conspiracy against Islam which negatively impacts funding, Oba Olabomi charged the leadership of Ahmadiyya to be as prudent as possible, connect with individuals who can support the Minaret project, and seek international support from Ahmadiyya worldwide. Oba Olabomi also charged the Management to build strong collaboration with other faith-based universities to promote institutional learning and for increased visibility to attract students and lecturers of high repute. The Amir, in his remarks, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the monarch’s wise counsel, pledging that the Community would consider all the valuable points raised by His Majesty and continue to uphold the values of excellence and service for which Ahmadiyya is globally known for among other good works. Amir AMJN Condoles with Ikirunland Over the Loss of Its Eminent Sons

The Amir (National Head) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Alh.(Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez paid condolence visits to the Akirun-in Council and families of late eminent personalities in Ikirun who passed away recently. The families visited are those of late Prince Ismaila Adeyemi, Alhaji Gasali Lawal, DIG (Rtd.), and the late Chief Imam of Ikirun land Alhaj. Yunus Ibrahim Balogun. While Prince Adeyemi, the Medical Director of Cristal Hospital, Akowonjo, Lagos, was a renowned medical practitioner based in Lagos, Alhaj. Lawal retired as Deputy Inspector General of Police and served as the Asiwaju of Ikirun until his death, and Alhaj Balogun, a prominent Islamic scholar, was the Grand Chief Imam of Ikirun until his death. The news of the death of Dr Adeyemi broke first on Wednesday 7th January and was followed by that of Alh Lawal on Saturday 10th January, while that of Sheik Balogun filtered on Monday 12th January, 2026. While commiserating with the Akirun-in-council, the Respected Amir described the deceased as great heroes of Ikirun Land whose significant contributions have positively impacted the current status of Ikirun. He also commended the efforts of these great leaders towards the success of Minaret University Ikirun, a new faith-based university established by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. At the home of late Prince Adeyemi, Barrister Alatoye noted: “The late icon of Ikirunland was specifically instrumental to the proposal of acquisition of an additional 100 Acres of land for the Minaret University Ikirun, and was very supportive to the actualization of the project till his last breath”. At the Late Lawal residence, the Amir stated: “he was indeed a great personality and huge supporter of the Minaret University project, as he always looked forward to the commencement of academic activities in the university. He was also always at the forefront of securing the facilities at the University premises.” And while at the family house of Late Chief Imam, the Amir said: “The late Chief Imam was a role model to all in terms of brokering peace among warring parties. Oba Festus Awogboro Lauds Ahmadiyya Jama’at as Nigeria’s Outstanding Muslim Organisation

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria has been described as the most successful and exemplary faith-based Muslim organisation in the country. This commendation was given by the Baabokun of Ibokun, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kayode Festus Awogboro, during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria, led by the Amir (National Head), Alhaji Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, to his palace on Saturday, 17 January 2025. The monarch, who disclosed that he had the privilege of meeting the Supreme Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community during the 2024 International Convention held in the United Kingdom, praised the Jama’at for its remarkable achievements both in Nigeria and globally. He particularly highlighted the organisation’s dedication to the propagation of the core tenets of Islam, peacebuilding initiatives, selfless humanitarian services, promotion of quality education, and the advocacy of peaceful coexistence among adherents of different faiths. “Without mincing words, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the best Muslim organisation in the country. Please quote me anywhere,” Oba Awogboro declared. He further stated: “I have made comparisons and concluded that Ahmadi Muslims stand out in Nigeria in the areas of peaceful propagation of Islamic teachings, hospitality, and humanitarian services, among other laudable acts of selfless service. I attended the Jama’at’s international conference in London, where the Supreme Head spoke extensively on pathways to peaceful coexistence. Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Land Hails Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as ‘Partners in Progress’

The Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Land, Alh. (Dr.) Imam Yunus Teliat Olushina (Ayilara II) has described the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as a loyal, faithful, and peace-loving Muslim organisation whose peaceful coexistence and preachings exemplifies the basic tenets of Islam. Imam Ayilara made the remarks during the courtesy visit of the Amir (National Head) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Alhaj. (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez on Friday 7th November 2025 in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The Grand Chief Imam mentioned that he was not alien to Jama’at activities in the country and disclosed his relationships with some notable members within the Jama’at. “Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at is well known to me because I am very close to some individuals within the Jama’at. The former Principal of Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria Maulvi Azeem Ahmad was my very close friend till now. We both had our Master’s degrees at the University of Ibadan. He was a loving and admirable individual. Another person is Alh. Ayelagbe Jabar, the current National General Secretary, AMJN. We were previously together at the Nigeria Securities and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). He was a pious individual as well.” “Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is indeed one of the first sets of Muslim organizations that welcomed me when I became the Chief Imam and their loyalty has remained intact as of this moment. My relationship with the Jama’at has been very cordial and peaceful. We are partners in progress,” he submitted. Amir AMJN Visits Ikoyi Ile Circuit, Extends Courtesies to Chief Imam

The Amir (National Head) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Alh. (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, on Friday 7th November 2025, in continuation of his nationwide tour to assess Jamaat progress and Members’ welfare embarked on a working visit to the Ikoyi-Ile branch of the Jama’at. In his usual tradition, the Amir and his entourage visited the Chief Imam of Ikoyi-ile, Alhaj Yusuf Abdul Rasaki Akewusola. He appreciated the warm reception and good neighborliness accorded to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the town. He mentioned that the Ahmadiyya Community always preaches and stands for peaceful co-existence and strongly frowns at violent conduct in all respects. “We have come to pay homage to you and to thank you for your continuous support and cooperation with our members in Ikoyi Ile town. This is the hallmark of Islamic teachings in general.” Barr. Alatoye highlighted some of the achievements of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria, including pioneering efforts in the establishment of Muslim schools, medical services, and humanitarian services, among others. He noted that humanitarian services are provided to everyone without regard to ethnic groups, religious affiliations, or tribes. The Amir also appealed for unity among the Muslim ummah in Nigeria, devoid of enmity and hate speeches on social media. “Unity and oneness of the Muslim Ummah are highly essential globally at this trying period. This is not the time to discriminate against one another but to prioritize unity and the welfare of Muslim brothers and sisters.” In his remarks, the Chief Imam of Ikoyi Ile commended the various contributions and achievements of the Ahmadiyya Community in Nigeria. With sense of appreciation, he noted that the Ahmadiyya Community was his first employer when he was a teacher in Ijebu Oru, Ogun State. On unity among Muslim faithful in the country, he appreciated ceaseless efforts of Ahmadiyya community and mentioned that Muslim leaders and other stakeholders in the state have been holding strategic meetings to address the issue. Meanwhile, the Amir has admonished members of the Jama’at in Ikoyi Ile Circuit to remain prayerful and steadfast towards surmounting various challenges that may come their way. “Let us remain prayerful and steadfast in our quest to overcome our problems. Almighty God is always with us and answers our prayers all the time. We are all bound to face challenges, but these challenges always make us stronger and better. “ The National Head also requested members to always comply with the laid-down rules and regulations of the Jamaat and avert hatred in its entirety. In continuation of Jama’at’s efforts in collaborating with critical stakeholders to foster mutual understanding and peaceful co-existence, the Amir (National Head) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Alhaj (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez paid official visit to Ogiyan of Ejigbo Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyeyosin II at his Palace in Ejigbo, Osun State on Sunday 2nd November 2025. The Amir appreciated the unflinching support and good neighborliness shown to Ahmadiyya Muslim Community by His Majesty and his Kingdom. This, he said, has impacted the Jama’at activities positively in Ejigbo Land. Barr. Alatoye used the avenue to further expatiate on the basic tenets of Islam, which centered around peace. He condemned any form of activities linking Islam to violent conduct. “We have come to pay homage to Your Royal Majesty and to thank you for being supportive to Jama’at activities in Ejigbo Land. We thank you for your hospitality towards our members in your domain.” “Let me also use this opportunity to reiterate that the religion of Islam stands for peace and unity of all. It is a religion that abhors all forms of violence. Prophet Muhammad (May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) is a peace loving personality. Hence, terrorism can not be traced to Islam. Those who engaged in terrorist activities are doing so for their selfish motives, such as the acquisition of more territories and solid mineral resources, among others,” the Amir stated. The National Head further highlighted some of the core activities of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, which include: education, medical outreach, orphanage program, disaster recovery program, gift of sight, Community service, water for life, food for life and general welfarism. He added that the Muslim organisation discharged these activities to all humanity irrespective of their religions, ethnic groups, tribes or other affiliations. In the education sector, the Amir restates Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s pioneering efforts of Muslim education in Nigeria, leading to the establishment of hundreds of schools (both primary and secondary) across the country before the government took over the administration of majority of the schools. He mentioned that the Jama’at has just established a unique university named ‘MINARET UNIVERSITY IKIRUN’ with Ejigbo Campus set to host Faculty of Computer Engineering. In his remarks, Oba Oyeyosin expressed his profound appreciation to Jama’at leadership for the visit with an inspiring presentation, and for bringing Minaret University campus to the town. Amir Ahmadiyya Nigeria Visits Ankpa Kingdom as Ejeh Declares: ‘Ankpa is Home to Ahmadiyya

The Amir (National Head) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Respected Alhaj (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, on Saturday 11th October 2025, paid an appreciation visit to His Royal Highness, the Ejeh of Ankpa, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed Sadiq Yakub II at his palace, Ankpa, Kogi State. The Amir sahib noted that the purpose of the visit was to express sincere appreciation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to His Royal Highness. Ejeh of Ankpa, the Chairman of Ankpa Traditional Council and Vice Chairman Igala Traditional Council for sustainability of the decades old love and mutual relationship between the Jamaat and his kingdom and to particularly thank His Highness for participation at the Jalsa Salana (National Conference) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of different countries, i.e 2025 United Kingdom Jalsa, 2025 Republic of Ghana Jalsa and 2024 Jalsa Salana of Nigeria . While thanking His Highness for his exemplary leadership and commitment to peaceful co-existence, the Amir used the opportunity to reiterate his usual appeal for mutual love, understanding, and unity of faith among Muslim faithful and not unnecessary attacks on each other on social media and other platforms. He enjoined Muslim Ummah to emulate the lifestyles of the Holy Prophet whose leadership prowess tempted his companions to stand up against the enemies of Islam. Alhaji Alatoye noted that some people had wrong notions that Ahmadis had a separate Holy Quran apart from the one revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Saw) and do not exalt the Holy Prophet. He informed the palace that those were false accusations as Ahmadis do not have a separate Quran and that Ahmadis believed the Holy Prophet as the seal of all prophets and best of mankind. He explained that the coming of the Promised Messiah (AS) should not cause any enmity or hatred among us because all Muslims without exception is expecting the advent of the Promised Messiah in line with the prophecy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) The Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet are the only tools of guidance and direction for Ahmadis upon which explanations are based. Ahmadis globally are known for preaching the oneness of Allah, unity of Islam, and peaceful co-existence. Responding, His Royal Highness, the Ejeh of Ankpa appreciated the Amir for the visit and said he is always pleased to be and identify with true islam wherever it’s being preached or practised. He declared that “Ankpa is home to Ahmadiyya” and that before ascending the throne as Ejeh, he had on different occasions joined his predecessor who happens to be his father to attend UK Jalsa Salana. Late President Buhari, a gallant Soldier and statesman served our dear Nation in different capacities as a Military Governor, Head of State, and two term President. He will be remembered for his towering commitment to duty with significant infrastructure projects, including major rail lines, highways, airport overhaul, and various initiatives to combat graft and promote transparency. Sharing Eid: HFN Brings Celebration to Over 3,000 Nigerian Families

Eid al-Adha is a time of joy, sacrifice, and sharing—but for many vulnerable families across Nigeria, celebrating can be a challenge. This year, Humanity First Nigeria (HFN), with the generous support of Humanity First Canada, ensured that thousands of families were not left behind. Recognizing the importance of inclusion during festive periods, HFN set aside special funds to support those in difficult circumstances. The organization’s Disaster Relief and Programs Team mobilized swiftly, identifying communities across the country where people were most in need. From Mokwa to Maiduguri, Kano, Azare, and Abuja, HFN volunteers went door-to-door, distributing meat and essential food items. Their mission was simple: to restore a sense of dignity and celebration to families facing hardship. The outreach didn’t stop in the north. In the southwest, residents in Abeokuta, Ikorodu, Meiran, and Akinyele-Ibadan also received support. Volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure that no one was left out, embodying the spirit of Eid by giving selflessly and uplifting others. In total, 9 cows and 8 sheep were sacrificed as part of this year’s initiative. The meat was distributed to over 3,235 individuals, helping them share in the blessings of the season despite their difficult circumstances. Speaking on the impact of the effort, Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Rafi, head of the Disaster Relief and Programs Team, noted: “Eid is about compassion and community. Our goal was to bring that spirit to people who may otherwise have gone unnoticed. We are grateful to Humanity First Canada for making this possible.” Many of the beneficiaries appreciated the efforts of Humanity first and prayed for the donors saying that the meat distributed would go a long way in providing the needed support during Eid Humanity First Nigeria continues to champion humanitarian interventions that provide dignity, hope, and support to those who need it most—during Eid and beyond.
