Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria Visits Baale Idoko Aledo, Preaches Peaceful Co-existence
The Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alh. Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, has paid a courtesy visit to the Baale of Idoko Aledo, where he called for peaceful co-existence, mutual respect and continued cordial relations between the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and the traditional institution.
During the visit, the Amir emphasized the importance of peace and unity among people of different faiths and backgrounds. He noted that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has consistently promoted peace through its worldwide motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None.”
Alh. Alatoye stressed that the motto reflects the Community’s commitment to fostering understanding, tolerance and peaceful relationships within society, regardless of religious, ethnic or social differences.
Responding, the Baale of Idoko Aledo described himself as a promoter of peace and expressed his appreciation for the visit. He noted that, as a United Nations Peace Ambassador, he shares the commitment to promoting peace, harmony and understanding in the community.
The Baale further assured the Amir of his continued support for a harmonious relationship between the traditional institution and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. He promised that the cordial relationship enjoyed between the Jama’at and the palace during the tenure of the former Baale would be sustained and strengthened.
He commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for its contribution to peace and peaceful co-existence, expressing confidence that the relationship would continue to benefit both the Jama’at and the wider Idoko Aledo community.
The visit ended with closing prayers and group photographs. He was accompanied by the Vice chancellor of Minaret University ikirun, Prof. Abdullah Abdur Rahmon.
