Amir AMJN Inaugurates National Emergency Response Hub Network

The Amir (National Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Alh. Alatoye Folorunso AbdulAzeez inaugurates the National Emergency Response Hub Network of the National Emergency Preparedness Committee (NEPC) at 1 AMJN Orange Estate, Igbogbo, Lagos State on Friday 2nd October 2026.
The programme, which focused on; preparing before the emergency, organising before the crisis and responding when needed, began at exactly 3:30 pm with the recitation of the Holy Qur’ān and prayer by Al-Hafiz Abdul Wahab Abdus-Salam, followed by a Qaseedah (in praise of the Holy Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Almighty God be upon him) by Bro. Sowemimo Abdul Barr.
In his welcome address, the NEPC Chairman, who doubles as the AMJN National Welfare Secretary Alh. (Engr.) Musiliu Adesina Alli, said the initiative is rooted in the guidance of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, the worldwide head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in preparation for the possible outcome of World War III. He reported that the committee has set up 64 Circuit Emergency Preparedness Committees, operational guidelines, an online reporting system and training programmes. He said the hubs in Igbogbo, Abuja and Port Harcourt are centres for preparedness, training, coordination and response, not just storage points. “Let us prepare not because we are afraid of tomorrow, but because we are determined to make tomorrow safer for others,” he said.
Humanity First leaders also gave remarks virtually. The Chairman of Humanity First Nigeria, Dr. Yaqin Habeeb, urged auxiliary bodies, circuit presidents and individuals to have their own respective centres.
The Director of Operations of Humanity First International, Dr. Fazal Ahmad, speaking from the United Kingdom, praised Nigeria as one of the world leaders in following the Khalifah’s guidance on preparedness.
The Director of Disaster Relief at Humanity First International, Dr. Mahmood Qureshi, speaking from Canada, prayed that other countries would emulate what the Nigerian Branch has commenced.
The Amir, together with top National Executive members, inspected the Igbogbo hub in person, while the Abuja and Port Harcourt hubs were inspected virtually. The inventories in all three hubs were reviewed and documented, with plans to keep expanding them to meet the purpose for which the hubs were established.
In his closing remarks, the Amir charged members to increase their reliance on Allāh, their service in every aspect of life and Jama’at, and their service to humanity. He prayed for Allāh’s continued blessing, protection and elevation of all members.
Among other members of the Jama’at who graced the inauguration ceremony include: the Missionary Incharge AMJN Maulana Adnan Tahir; the Naib Amir (Deputy Head) Finance and Administration Alhaji Bankole Mufadhil; the General Secretary AMJN Alh Ayelagbe Abdul Jabar; the Sadr Majlis Ansarullah Nigeria (National Leader, Elders’ Wing AMJN) Alh.
