Amir Ahmadiyya Nigeria Attends Graduation Ceremony of Madrasatut Tahfidhil Qur’an (Jamia Ahmadiyya)

The Respected Amir Sahib (RAS), Alhaji (Barr.) Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, today graced the graduation ceremony of 28 new Huffaaz (memorizers of the Holy Qur’an) at the Madrasatut Tahfidhil Qur’an, Jamia Ahmadiyya, Ilaro, Ogun State.

The ceremony, which marked another milestone in the Jama’at’s Qur’anic educational mission, was chaired by the RAS and witnessed the joyous celebration of young members who have successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Qur’an.

In his address, the Respected Amir Sahib emphasized that the completion of Qur’an memorization is a great blessing from Allah and a clear testament to the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (as) as a true servant and follower of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw).

He further announced that alongside the 28 male graduates, 16 young female memorizers also graduated, bringing the total number of graduants to 44 today. In total, the Male Hafiz class has graduated 396 candidates from inception. Expanding on this, the Amir Sahib noted that the Jama’at now operates 10 Qur’an memorization centers across Nigeria, from which over 600 Huffaaz have so far graduated. The Amir emphasized that the Jama’at will continue to uphold the sunna of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) especially memorisation of the Holy Quran among others.

Advising the graduands, the RAS stressed the importance of constant revision to ensure proper retention of what they have memorized. He further encouraged them to go beyond memorization by striving to learn the meaning and application of the Holy Qur’an in their daily lives.

Addressing the parents, he urged them to provide continuous guidance and support to their children, helping them preserve their memorization and keeping them away from social vices.

In his closing admonition to the graduands, the Respected Amir Sahib advised them to remain prayerful, avoid arrogance, greed, and ego, and to embody humility and righteousness. He prayed that Allah (SWT) grants them a pious lifestyle and the strength to be true ambassadors of the Holy Qur’an.

Among the guests at the occasion are Former Amir, Professor Mashood Adenrele Fashola, the Acting Missionary Incharge, Maulvi Syed Ather Mahmood, the General Secretary, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe, the Sadr MAAN, Alhaji Dauda Raji, amongst many others.
