The Deputy Governor of Ogun State Alh. (Engr.) Noimot Oyedele – Salako has eulogized the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at for her giant strides in the promotion of peaceful coexistence among the human race. This she said has made the fold to be a leader in the propagation of the real tenet of Islam.

The Deputy Governor made this known while playing host to the leadership of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at during a courtesy visit.

Engr. Noimot recalled how she got a gift of Islamic literature from the Jama’at as a Form 1 student, in her secondary school days.

She also mentioned to the delight of her guests her participation in one of the International Conference (Jalsa Salana) in London, United Kingdom.

Oyedele while stressing on the need for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at members to always be good ambassadors of Islam and promote the message of love the fold is well known for, recounted the true brotherhood gesture she enjoys from some of her friends in the Jama’at.

She specifically referred to Jama’at elders like Alhaji & Alhaja Sunmonu and Dr. Nurudeen Akindele as her models and mentors.

While reacting to the speech of the Amir, the Deputy Governor highlighted various plans and programs of the present administration to add a resounding facelift to the socio-economic status of the State, an improvement on the state of security, advancement in educational standard and also infrastructural development.

The Deputy Governor stressed that the request from the Amir for the reconstruction of Papalanto/Ilaro road and completion of ongoing Owode/Ilaro road has been identified by the administration.

She affirmed that the government of Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun has perfected plans to use the Executive Order earlier signed to facilitate the Papalanto/Ilaro road through Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

The Deputy Governor then promised to use her office to facilitate a familiarization meeting with the Governor as requested by the Amir.

On the invitation to the Annual Conference of the Jama’at holding at Ilaro on 21st through 22nd December, the Deputy Governor promised her guests to be part of the spiritual exercise.

Earlier in his address, the Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alh. (Barrister) Abdul-Azeez Folorunso Alatoye congratulated the Governor and the Deputy on their victory at the poll and charged them to make Almighty Allah their guard in the administration of the Gateway State.

The Amir highlighted the trio of Peace, Justice and Social Welfare as the cardinal message of Islam the Jama’at activities globally.

50 members of the Jama’at which includes Maulvi Afzaal, the Missionary in charge, Alh. Bankole, the Naib Amir Finance and Administration, Alh. Abass .O. Iromini, the General Secretary, the Sadr Majlis Ansarullah (President, Elders Forum) Engr. Abdul Waheed Akanji Adeoye, the Sadr Majlis Khuddam (President, Youth Wing)Engr. Saheed Kunleola Aina, Dr. Nasirudeen Bello, the Branch President Abeokuta, Dr. (Mrs) Mulikat .O. Salaam, the immediate past University Librarian FUNAAB, Pharm. Alhaja Akindele, (Mrs) F. Y AbdusSalaam were at the Deputy Governor’s office.
